Barbara Marie Marszalek

Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/Educator/Minister/Community Advocate.

Kamelot’s Health & Wellness Center founder and CEO, Barbara Marszalek, is a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, that has worked at the Orange County Department of Mental Health, Catholic Charities, as well as the Resource Recovery Center of Orange County in Middletown NY. 

Formerly, a registered nurse (RN) for Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center and Mount Sinai Hospital, and a clinical RN supervisor for Access: Supports for Living. 

Barbara has served clients with behavioral and medical health needs for over 23 years. Barbara works with clients of diverse backgrounds and ages and has dedicated her life to help guide them through their trauma and toward a more fulfilling life through a large variety of treatments and modalities that include but are not limited to meditation, therapy, supplementation, education, and prescriptions as needed. 

Working with a diverse clientele requires an equally diverse set of tools to assess each individual condition accordingly and efficiently. Barbara is trained in Trauma-Informed Care, a competent provider for Transgender and Gender expansive Children and Youth, a licensed and registered practitioner for prescribing privileges, and is one of five, certified, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) providers in Orange County, NY.   

Barbara is an active and distinguished member of Orange County, N.Y. She was a core member of Empowering Port Jervis, a community outreach center, that held monthly lectures on mental health and wellness, participates in council and town meetings, and participated in collaboration with the Port Jervis City School District on a K-12 mental health initiative and now tag teaming with the Department of Health to assist in furthering positive community outreach. It is the years of commitment to Port Jervis and its most vulnerable that inspired Kamelot Inc. and now Kamelot’s Health & Wellness Center.
